MALE BREASTS AESTHETICS

What is Gynecomastia?

In males, breast tissue and fat tissue in the chest area is called ‘gynecomastia’. Gynecomastia is common in men during puberty and men in the 50s. Gynecomastia may manifest itself in a healthy person completely physiologically, and may also manifest itself as a result of drug use, chronic diseases, some hormone disorders, and some tumors.

How is it applied?

Once the cause of gynecomastia is determined by differential diagnosis, treatment planning is started. Gynecomastia is divided into 3 groups according to its size and abundance in the tissue. The size of the first stage is limited; there is no looseness or sagging. In the second stage, the breasts are like a woman’s, but no sagging has occurred. In the third phase, there is a degree of looseness that will require additional treatment. In the early stages, only liposuction operation is sufficient. In advanced stages with excess skin, cuts made from the periphery of the nipple may require skin excision along with breast tissue. The operation can be performed under general anesthesia and local-sedation under anesthesia, according to the technique applied. Another practice that is practiced in almost in every operation is wearing a special corset to suppress the operation area. The corset should be used intermittently, especially regularly in the first month.
